The Dodo was no mistake! Without their existence, and subsequent lack of existence shortly thereafter, we would never have had that awesome scene from the first Ice Age film!
Mysterious ways indeed... OF LAUGHTER!!
Platypi kick ass too...

Both those animals are a reminder that even deities have a sense of humour.
Come to think of it, the dinosaurs as a whole could be considered a mistake God tried to correct. Shame he/she didn't get them all. Unless you're going to argue that it was divine will that various global locations such as Loch Ness become tourist traps several billion years later.

In the end, everything works towards one final act.
EVERYBODY DIES!

I don't die: I'm a goddess.
(OH MY GOD! Why can't my brain leave that fact out of it?! I'm going for a brain transplant. See you all later...)

Finally! Once she upgrades to a raisin, the conversations around here can be a lot more civilised. Quite.

I would like to take this opportunity to formally apologise for Alabama. As with women, it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Which doesn't say much for men, as women were the upgrade.

As much as I'd like to defend my gender, any man who has been hit/punched/kicked in the genitals will testify that we are poorly designed. Let's face it, we were the rough draft.

And as with any upgrade, it's full of bugs and keeps crashing now and then. Seems to be about once a month...

But it is, nonetheless, better than the original.

Only to a certain extent. It's like the Ford Mustang GT 390. The basic models nice and everything, but it's the bells and whistles version with the extra bits that's more fun.
Besides, who is it that gets two, count 'em, two different chromosones?

That's two extra chromosomes to carry around. I call that a weight disadvantage.
