For those who attended the first omnibus (who also frequent this forum), or at least parts of it, could I get some feedback to allow for better preparation next time? Since next time will be a much longer run (6 Star Wars, 3 EXTENDED Lord of the Rings, 5 Zombie films or ludicrous amounts of supernatural...) breaks will have to be shorter (less Mariokart & Goldeneye tragically), or should the breaks remain as they work as a great breather between films. Also, we need to organise food better in advance, I didn't realise not everyone was fanatical about pizza (though I love it!). Thanks to everyone who brought some snacks & drink in contribution too, really took the burden off my wallet For the next time should we do a similar type idea where everything brings something different to cover all bases? As for the time of next Omnibus, I think around a months time might work, possibly a week before or at the start of Easter Break. And finally, it has been dicussed that the omnibus could start later than it did last time (this is assuming a Saturday is the day it's on) to allow everyone some manner of long lie in and allow more time to arrive. Of course, the films will continue deep into the night, but if the last one finishes around 6am, morning buses will be starting soonafter and people can go straight home to sleep. Thanks if you managed to read all that, any thoughts on it?

Feedback, eh? How about "Damn you Empire, couldn't you have released your new issue a week earlier?"
One of their articles features in depth interviews with those responsible for the BTTF Trilogy and also features a "Viewing Guide" sidebar for each movie, highlighting the chapter and elapsed time of the movie for awesome moments. Such categories include "Bifftastic!" "88mph" and "Great Scot!" Only now do I realise the frequency of these events would have made a great drinking game. Perhaps some other time.
Or we could do it the first time round! Where did I leave that Flux Capacitor?

You left it next to your hover-board, under that great steaming pile of manure.

I HATE MANURE!

Damn you guys give terrible feedback. You're all fired! Well, you would be if I employed you...
If you're reading this, you're hired!
NOW YOU'RE FIRED!

We require simple instructions in words of one syllable. It's a bit mean that "syllable" itself has three syllables, though, because that makes it hard to tell people to give instructions in words of one syllable in a sentence that is, itself, constructed of words of one syllable.
...
Saturday 10th for Star Wars, then? I'll see if I can book one of my parents for an Asda run so I can supply us with some drinks as well as food I'll actually eat.

I never said that was definite! Or did I? Honestly I can't remember things at the best of times when sober, so any conversation at parties with alcohol is a write off.
But yes, that would be a good mid holiday time for such shinanigance. However, I want to know if people have weekend work, for if so the monday (12th) after would be best (any more towards the end of the hols and I need to be in serious work mode)
I'll make a new thread or something

Monday 12th would be better.
If you think about it, ALL the Star Wars, plus eating, drinking, bathroom breaks, cat naps etc. you might want to make it a two day deal.

The whole point of the omnibus is to avoid a two day deal, cause I don't have two days to spare. The idea is to prove the force is strong with us by being able to watch all six in one sitting. Of course, you don't have to be there the whole time, people can come late or leave early, but really the plan is this:
Start at a time that means everyone (Cati) can wake up and get to the flat on time. Say mid afternoon. Suppose all six films take 15 hours... That would put the run time into the next morning, the ideal time for people to get morning busses back to sleep off the exhaustion. And may the force be with us etc etc
But Monday may be better, busses are a bit more sparse on Sundays...

Well, you couldn't be late since it's your own flat. Someone had to be.

I could have been late if I wanted too...
"Hey guys, just getting some supplies from the shop. Be back soon, don't start without me."
And that's just the obvious one...

... all 6 should be 12 hours, give an extra hour for bathroom breaks between the films, so if you start at 11am on the dot, then it's done for midnight.

Yeah, but the extra three hours gives us time to play video games, make food, and generally be incompetent dorks. I don't think any of us are very good at keeping to a tight schedule.
