Now you can't unsee it. And then I found this link. Tumblr: StumbleUpon for people who uninstalled StumbleUpon because they're fooling themselves into thinking they'll get uni work done.

[From the Aki Ra article]
'The UN trained Aki in the proper application of protective bomb-proof armor, mine detector operation, and sweep-and-clear removal processes for dealing with dense fields of high explosives, but when those guys left town, Aki realized he didn't have very much in the way of money or equipment. Still, this unstoppable powerhouse of mine-clearing insanity wasn't going to be deterred from accomplishing his newfound goal in life simply by something as stupid as "not having access to the sort of minesweeping gear you need in order to not die while removing mines", and just decided to go out and start digging anti-personnel grenades out of the ground with a shovel and jamming sticks in them until they stopped being capable of blowing his arm completely out of socket and depositing the charred appendage in the South China Sea'
A man who disarms landmines with a stick, a shovel, and his fists. On the side, he hunts for wild boar with a crossbow to feed the 20-or-so homeless guys he has taken in, people who have been victims of landmines.
And here was me thinking there were no more heroes. Thanks for the link, Heather.

Can we please lock this thread now so as to avoid any desecration of what is a truly amazing story?

If only the game allowed this sort of thing. I'd catch a whole bunch of them, feed them TNT, then lob them at rival trainers while singing that song that goes 'T-N-T! They're dyno-mite! T-N-T- etc'

You mean T.N.T. by AC/DC? If you were going to do that, I'd follow you about with a Gibson SG playing the song just to maximise the awesome. Then, of course, when you're not battling I'd sing a "Sir Robin" style ballad about how bravely you use cowardly tactics, sacrificing many pathetic creatures to further your cause.
