.....
If you want Tsunami to stay alive, I suggest never, never ever have him call her a Diva...
Actually, I suppose you can if you want - Starlong might save you.

Bottom line here is that you, Kieron, are disrupting a scene between two other characters by distracting attention away toward yourself. And don't go grabbing other people's equipment again; you can only do that during a Survival Time crisis.
Where the hell is Ross/Vinny? Hiding I bet.

Vinny ignored Tsunami's antics behind him as he focussed on Fire Bear. "First off, if "Elfy" is a racial slur? Sorry, didn't know. I was trying for a jokey nickname. Clearly, that didn't work." He scratched his head, then continued, glaring at her behind his shades. "But given all the crap you throw out about humans, and given that yesterday I risked my life saving yours, where the HELL do you get off drawing a sword on me just for that?!"

Fire Bear's eyes widen in shock and she glances downwards then back up. She now looks angry as well as shocked and she is trembling slightly.
"Well, it doesn't really matter now, does it? You wanted a lift to the coast. Here we are. Thank you for helping us out. Sorry for inconveniencing you. Goodbye."
She turns her back to Vinny and wanders off in search of Blanka who she then crouches down beside and pats, her head down, her hair covering her face.

Trying not to overhear the conversation talking place - I distract myself by turning to Pete.
"Hey, I don't know how much time we have to kill, but there's a lotta folk here. You should ask around, find out if anyone's seen your airship recently."

Hmm. Interesting.
So what's your plan, Vinny? Are you really gonna leave and find your own way to wherever you're going or are you sticking around? It's 100g for a ticket (without the discount) to the coast, if that's the way you're heading; someone going solo (unless some of the party decides to go with you) would be pretty interesting and I don't care about the whole 'you should never split the party up' thing that goes about in the RP comunity (I mean, why not? Is it because it's too much effort or something? Pah!)
And that goes for the rest of you, too. If you don't want to board the truck (800g with the discount) then you can either abandon it along with the equipment stored in it that you can't/won't carry or attempt to sell it at short notice. Keep an open mind about your options and make a plan before you decide to buy your tickets from the ticket office there in the car park.
Up from the car park, you can enter the town via the long boardwalk that stretches outwards beyond the coastline to the sea. The town is supported by great iron beams and resembles a giant pier. As it's the only southern-based port on the Isle, there's a shedload of caravan merchants, travellers, settlers, and even adventurers from the mainland continent who're bound to have some info or, at least, left it with the barmen of the various pubs and spas you'll find toward the docks.
A trading and shipping area can be found in the centre of this town, where imported wares are prepped for shipping inland and exports are handed off to their foreign buyers. Around this port bazaar is the residential area; a ring of shanties and sea-water filtration wells brought in from as far as the Middle East. Be careful going into this area as the people who live there are either no-nonsense dock-hands or opportunists looking for an easy mark; keep your wits about you.
Towards the very back you'll find the Southampton-on-sea wet-docks; a mass of ships constantly circling and drifting as they wait for their turn, shouted to them from afar by way of a megaphone. There're always ships docking and being loaded/unloaded here so it is very busy; don't get seperated. The ferry dock is always clear and can be found to the far right of the chaos, with a clear right of way to sail at all times; it'll leave exactly when it is due to leave so don't be late (the next one won't leave until tomorrow morning; these ships don't sail at night and not without an escort either as there are plenty of pirates off-shore looking to poach a loaded ship; fortunately, the Marines are in force here and are patrolling round-the-clock; they're also the ones who provide the ferry with its escort).
The Marines The Marines are a private military with forces stationed all over the world. Their primary function is to provide security for docks, oceans, and even the skies against pirates and other undesirables. They are usually hired by government or large-scale private employers looking to protect their interests. The Marines do not fuck around, as a general rule, and usually have state-given powers to arrest people or even shoot at suspected pirates so don't get on their bad-side or arouse their suspicions; Pete should probably be careful when he asks around about his airship. Privateer he may be but the Marines rarely acknowledge the difference.
So, you've a general idea on the layout. What's everyone doing?

Did- Did you just steal the Marines idea from One Piece?
...
"I say we take the truck - we have enough money for the ferry and some left over for somewhere to stay the night. Starlong, can you handle the paying? Pete's going to do his own thing, huh? I'm going to find somewhere for us to stay. Meet back here in at least two hours. If any of us don't come back in time, we'll presume something bad happened to them."
Fire Bear then gives Starlong enough money for all of them (even Vinny - she has a feeling he may be joining them on their journey) plus the truck then turns to leave with the rest of the money.
She puts her hand out to Blanka. "Come on, you - you can keep me company."
And I am presuming he follows me (seeing as he was doing that earlier).

Of course I did, Becks; but it came to mind when I was writing the Southampton description and I figured it'd be an intesting thing to add. Anyway, just keep Pete away from them and there won't be any trouble.
And yeah, Blanka follows you.
But before Starlong pays everyone's tickets, what's the decision Vinny?

Vinny turned to Starlong and Pete, face inscrutable. "So what's the play? You two want me out of the happy gang as well? Or am I going with you?" He crossed his arms as he waited for their answer.

"Don't wuss out on us now Vinny! And don't let our endearing 'leader' get to you. (I ake sure Fire Bear is out of earshot [yes, even with those misshapen ears] before I unleash the sarcasim) Things are just getting interesting. C'mon, let's get some tickets and see if there's anything decent to trade in town."
Whatever Vinny decides, I'm sure Pete tags along since he's in autopilot mode.
Fire Bear, did you count out exact change or just give me a suitably large amount of cash that could cover it? I might go shopping for supplies that would be handy.
I also suggest that we trade out all the weapons we won't be needing (I'm sticking with one of the shotguns and one of the pistols from the building in the swamp - hence I plan to sell my spare revolver for something useful - like booze)

Assuming I was completely incapable of getting any sleep, I will have watched these proceedings with interest. When questioned by Vinny, my reply is a simple one:
"Don't you bloody dare leave! So far the only folk in this group who haven't caused me trouble are you and the dog. Ok, the wrestler's not done anything either, but look at his stats, it's only a matter of time. If you bugger off, it's just me and the dog! We need you Vinny!"
Once his decision is made, I'll make the appropriate response before wandering off to try and filch some money from Fire Bear. Stewart, I need to find a Medium or Psychic of some sort. There's some unfinished business I need help with.

Curious request, Pete. Shouldn't be hard to find. If you go into the residential area (the scummy bit) you'll find mediums, card-sharks, and pickpockets galore. Just make sure you don't go in there alone, and don't wander down any alleyways. You should ask around for a decent psychic.
Starlong, you should be able to sell the gun down in the residential area (if your morals allow it) for some booze or trade it in the bazaar. Maybe you and Pete should go together, with Vinny if he decides to go with you.
And I'm going to fix up the StatTracker:
-) You have two shotguns and two handguns (The handguns are equipped but I don't know if anyone equipped the combat N-GAGE shotguns, though). You'll get a lot of money/a great trade for those hi-tech firearms (maybe it's time Fire Bear upgraded? And don't forget that protectives, like that Kevlar Vest, can be invested in if you search the bazaar).
-) You should hold on to the Recovery Machine Schematic until you get to the Adventurer's Society HQ in Paris. Not only can you sell it to them for a premium (they'll act as middle-men, selling the schematic on to interested parties in the scientific community) but it'll also serve as evidence for your triumph over the Thames swamp; when they get word of what you've done, they'll send a team to verify that the danger is gone and you'll become famous, most likely).
So everybody; just tell me where you want to go and I'll get you there. With NARRATIVE!!

I think for the ease of doing things that you should just have a 'floating' purse; that means anyone on the team can use any amount of money from the purse (so you all have access to party funds no matter where you are, on the condition that you are a member of the team).

With Starlong and Pete's ringing endorsements, Vinny nods. "Guess I'm staying then." Instantly, he broke out into the same beaming smile he'd worn when they first met and clapped his hands together. "Excellent! So shall we go make some money then?"

"I was thinking the same thing, Vinny!" grinned Tsunami, and scans the area quickly.
Is there a amatuer wrestling ring anywhere, GM? Or any group of mugs who may be impressed by my high flying ability?
