Fallout 3 is currently ruling my life.
An RPG, set in post nuke-war america, with guns, radioactive beasts, gore, cowboy hats, power armour, and jazz! What more could i want?

I figured you were a Fallout 3 man, judging solely on your avatar of course.
I'm working my way through Call of Duty: World at War. It's quite good actually. Jack Bauer's in it! It makes me think I've got to complete the game in 24 hours.
Other than that, I'm bouncing around Halo 3 online and Banjo-Kazooie for the N64.

Every single time I go home we play Mario Kart on the N64. None of the following incarnations of the game do it form me, the 64 version will always be the best there is, entire races being swung by cunning use of the lesser weapons (shooting a green shell backwards down 200 yards of track into my older brother gives me no small amount of satisfaction) or lucking out and getting lighting more than once. Anyone want a game sometime?
Otherwise currently playing through Max Payne after the whole film thing (in another thread somewhere) but am still playing lots and lots of Neverwinter Nights 2

I change game the way some people change clothes. I've only got the Medal of Honor Allied Assault War chest and a Sim game called Evil Genius for my laptop. No prizes for guessing what the Sim game is about. When I go back home my time is divided between parents, friends and Kingdom Hearts 2. Got to love the gentle blend of Disney and Final Fantasy. During the day though, my flatmate has brought his Sega Megadrive II with him. Thus, Sonic is playing a prominent role in my life as well. Favourite Sonic game anyone?

Either Sonic 2 or Sonic 3. For some reason I love Knuckles. He's so broody and badass.
Does he not have Alladin? It's the Sega game I have the fondest memories of, jumping over lava and dodging people who throw pots out their windows =]
And Mario Kart for the N64 I agree is the best. Well, maybe. It's a match between that and the DS version. The DS version seems perfect to me, but there's a certain chunkiness to the N64 version that I can't resist either. I've spent so many hours playing the balloon battle thing with friends (through the amazingness of the virtual console on the Wii) and it's so much fun.

Sonic and Knuckles.
Playing as Knuckles is great new gameplay, unlike playing as tails in sonic 2 (which I still greatly enjoyed simply because I've always liked tails better), the gliding aspect of things rules though I was saddened that the endgame was much shorter.
Completing Sonic 3 was rather easy, completing Sonic and Knuckles as Sonic remains quite challenging, but can be done after a few lives are lost against the death rays :s
I have played Mario Kart on the Wii, the Game cube and the DS, and the N64 just seems to work so much more better. It isn't perfect, and can sometimes be horribly unfair, but I wouldn't have it any other way. You probably wouldn'y believe the number of times I have raced royal raceway in my life...

Fallout 3 looks great. That bit at the end of the advert when the guy is walking down the empty highway with the stray dog wandering around made it so.
And, yes, we should collide in a game of Mortal Mario Kart Kombat some time. Which reminds me...have you beaten any of my times on your copy of Mario Kart DS yet, Joe? Hmmm?
(Crash Team Racing on the PS1 was far superior to Mario Kart 64).

Yeah, I managed to find the dog in fallout the other day. It was fun having him, that was until a giant scorpion came and mauled the poor mutt! What kind of day and age is it when you can't walk through a post-nuked wasteland and not be attacked by giant mutant animals! *grumbles*

Post-nuclear wastelands are a bitch. All that radiation! Though, I have to say, this third arm is handy.
Oh, and making my way through Mirrors Edge. A surprisingly good game if you look over it's shortfalls (and long long long splattering falls).

I've been playing Portal. I know it's not the most modern of games, but how many games can be made fun when you only have a non-lethal gun that shoots portals? Plus it's one of the few first person shooters that require serious thought in the advanced maps.
And a Lemmings rip-off called Pingus, thanks to a god-forsaken lecturer.

Portal is good. Have you played Narbacular Drop? It's the game that Portal was before Valve saw it and told the creators to join their team. It's got a Princess with no knees (so she can't jump) and turtles that can swim through lava!

I just finished Narbacular Drop. For a non-commercial game, it's pretty good. Very retro.
