I'm sure a few people have heard, or at least know of, the Led Zeppelin song "When The Levee Breaks".
But what i wanna know exactly is what is a Levee?
Enlighten me with your knowledge!
Or amuse me with your guesses, either way's good.

A levee is an embankment on a river. The song was originally recorded by Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie in 1929 and is about the Mississippi river flooding in 1927. Before you all hail me as a god I should point out that I got this information from Wikipedia.
Not that that should stop you hailing me as a god if you really want to. I'll be humble about it.

Huh. I was going to say Levee's were Turkish made Levi rip-offs but oh well.

In the song it's a river bank, but it could still be that as well. Who knows?

Let's just throw potatoes at you for ruining the fun and going straight to the right answer!
Although I do applaud you for going to wikipedia at least.
