Was flicking through the latest issue of Total Film and found an article on all the films worth looking out for this year. You know the sort: Watchmen, Transformers, yadda yadda yadda. They also mention a whole bunch that might not be highly anticipated but worth a look, including a movie called "Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel" Apparently it's about a girl from the future (Anna Faris from Scary Movie etc.) who starts discussing time travel with some geeks in a bar. Could this be the end of our God-awful discussions on time travel or merely the beginning of all new rants?

Well surely something's gonna happen in the film, otherwise it'd be kinda boring if one of the geeks just answers "No", and that's the film!
So I'm sure the rants shall continue long after the black hole from that supercollider sucks us all up.
And that sounds SO wrong!

Hence the super-fly avatar! Swish, indeed!
I hear tell that time, or the perception of it, is warped when being sucked into a black hole, as is perception of space (so your legs look like spaghetti, stretching into infinity).
How do I know this? Because it was in a secondary school library book published in 1997 and LIBRARY BOOKS NEVER LIE! IT HAD ILLUSTRATIONS AND EVERYTHING!

It's because the sheer gravity of a black hole can bend light, pulling it away from its source and thus slowing it down. It brings up the idea that light is related to time.
Thank you, Stargate SG1.

do we get any of our scientific facts from reputable sources? or just from TV, films and the odd secondary school library book?

Science has no reputable source! Or if it does, it is simply not as intresting as TV, films and odd secondary school library books, and therefore does not merit our attention. And Moemiseter... Black holes only suck metaphorically: www.bash.org/?99835

Whoa whoa whoa, lets keep bash out of this. We don't want to spend posts on end comparing funny quotes we've found.
Unless they're fucking HILARIOUS quotes.
But other than that, no. I refuse to let it happen. We don't want to become 4chan.
