The only reason I didn't go that Thursday there, was cause it took a lifetime to play Midlife Crisis.
They still hadn't finished when I'd left to go to my Gran's (even though one of them was two away from the finish...), so I don't even know who won.

That's what *SHE* said!
It had to be done...
For clarification purposes however (Mr Exposition is me), Midlife Crisis is a board game that was being played at a Union organised games night. With games and shit. "They" means the other players playing said board game with our plucky heroine, who abadoned all chance of glory when she got up and left.

Plucky heroine? I could get used to that... as I could being called evil. It's all good...
And I wasn't going to win anyway; there was a mix up with similar coloured pieces, and I ended up way behind everyone. Which wasn't that bad, since no-one considered zapping me. (Hooray! I know about something you lot don't!)

So you could be a plucky evil heroine? Nice one!
I think Midlife Crisis is like A Game Of Life, or is it? Are there babies or chihuahuas involved?

Pretty much, yeah.
I'm too tired to try and explain it right now. Look it up on the Internet; I'm sure you'll find it if you Google it.

Look it up on the Internet; I'm sure you'll find it if you Google it. You have no idea how proud of you I am right now. Seriously. I'm weeping.

He is indeed. But if you look closely, those aren't tears. They're actually small blobs of phlegm that he's too proud to cough up into his glass of Jack-Coke before swilling with that gay abandon enjoyed by all 500-a-day chain-smokers.
It's coming, Joe. Oh my, yes. And I will be there, in the seedy blues bar for those who still drag their bloodied broken septic dreams around behind them like an obscene tumour, sack-shaped, festering, and with a stench of rotting green-black fillets. Look to your left; I'm at the Table for One in the corner, clapping my caloused hands together with toothless glee (I ground them all down through frustration, you see) and as the blubbery blob of a tar-ravaged throat slips lubrugriously from your mouth and onto the lap of your dog-semen stained trousers, I will raise my glass in salute to you. Yes, you; The Bastard Who Makes No Fucking Sense.
Zing.

And lose the sexual tension of the 'will they-won't they' scenario? I think not. Many a good sitcom has went that way, to the great sitcom graveyard that is 'Hundred Greatest Sitcoms of All Time'. Lets just grow old together. Old and interesting.

Alrighty then... Anyway, I thank you. I thought someone might cotton on. I wasn't holding my breath, though!
