Having read the Star Trek thread, I noticed it getting severely out of control.
Therefore I propose this thread to be used for any other Sci-Fi we're interested in. Star Wars, Farscape, Red Dwarf and suchlike. Just because I like to see variety and make conversation for all us non-Trekkers. (That's the right term now, right? Trekkie is wrong?)
Anyway, beginning with Red Dwarf. Favourite episodes? Mine are a tie between "Gunmen of the Apocalypse", "Polymorph" and "Justice". Actually, "Meltdown" should be in there too.

Brushing past the issue of not being able to remember any episodes of Red Dwarf...
I haven't seen Farscape in ages! I need to head over to my uncle's and steal - sorry, borrow - it...
And Stargate was pretty awesome, too. Till they stopped making it, created Stargate Atlantis and put it on a channel we don't get...
Bastards.

Red Dwarf: Justice.
Aside from the name, it has the highest content of Rimmer-bashing that I can remember.
That and...Quarantine was good. Marooned, and the episodes of first and second series.
Firefly is a great sci-fi series, too.

Never actually seen the series, the film has some good laughs though.

Firefly is awesome! I started watching the series again this morning and remembered how much I loved it! Badger: "Won't deal with me direct. He's takin' an irrational dislike." Jayne: "What happened? Did he see your face?" Hehe! ;D

My uncle recorded the Red Dwarf that was on at Easter and a couple of old episodes they showed, too. So I watched them all on Thursday and Friday.
It was awesome.
I'd actually forgotten all about Rimmer even existing till I started watching them again.
Looks like I'm stealing a lot of DVDs - sorry, borrowing.

My favourite character in Red Dwarf was Rimmer. He got laid into so much.
But Jayne is legend in Firefly. He looked adorable in that wooly hat of his. The fact that his mother made it for him turned it into a perfect moment.
And remember: "Jayne ain't a girl!" said Jayne.

Stargate was awesome... till it got rather weird, what with with the "higher beings" and the time traveling and stuff.
And I remember the episode where they got super powers and what's-her-name-again was typing at super speed and the computer couldn't keep up... But I can't remember why they had them...?

I have been religiously watching Red Dwarf. ;D I've got onto the fourth series and I am definitely getting the damn fifth one, which decided to evade me on Wednesday. W H Smith in Lanark couldn't find the discs for it! I almost cried. But enough about me; I've introduced it to my wee sister! She seems to like it and it has got to the stage where she demands I wait for her before I can play it. She's even calling me a smeg! My retort turned out to be "Shut up, smeghead!" It's lame but all I could think up in the short space of time I had before she went down the stairs. The next one we're watching is "Justice", funnily enough. It will be getting put on when we get back from lunch!

Justice is one of the best.
Other great Dwarf insults include:
"Dinosaur Breath'
"Molecule Mind'
'Smeg for Brains'
And
'Gimboid.'
And my favourite conversation:
LISTER: Cat? CAT: Mmm? LISTER: You ever see the Flintstones? CAT: Sure! LISTER: D'you think Wilma's sexy? CAT: Wilma Flintstone? LISTER: Maybe we've been alone in deep space for too long, but every time I see that slinky body, it drives me crazy. Is it me? CAT: Well, I think in all probability, Wilma Flintstone is the most desirable woman that ever lived. LISTER: That's good. I thought I was goin' strange. CAT: She's incredible! LISTER: What d'ya think of Betty? CAT: Betty Rubble? (Pause) Yeah, I'd go with Betty... <sigh> but I'd still be thinking of Wilma. LISTER: This is crazy. Why are we talking about going to bed with Wilma Flintstone? CAT: You're right. We're nuts. This is an insane conversation. LISTER: She'd never leave Fred and we know it.

I like "gimp" and "goit" as well. I love that scene, too! Also, I love Parallel Universe, cause of that "Tongue Tied" bit! And I like Marooned and Meltdown. Hee! I dislike Ace Rimmer immensely. Next time Tom wears that t-shirt with him on it, I'll say "I'll smoke you a smegging kipper!" and punch Ace Rimmer's face.

You punch Ace and your hand will be confiscated from your arm using a highly ineffective cheesegrater as a makeshift sword. You have been warned...

I don't care: I'll still punch his goddamn irritating face! And then I'll tippex out that damn slogan! "I'll smoke him a smegging kipper!" "Be back for breakfast"? He clearly won't be - why the hell is he saying it! And another thing, why can't he smoke it himself. Plenty of people can cook their own food, even when they're extremely busy. He can smeg off, as far as I'm concerned!

So I'm guessing from this intense hatred of Ace that you like his opposite, Arnold Rimmer?

Well... yeah.
And I'm not the only one who hates Ace. My wee sister doesn't like him either. Must be in the genes.
"What a guy!"? What a smeghead, I'd say.
