Do you know what was a good show? Becker. Funny, cynical and a main character who smokes with no one shouting at him for it. It's like my life. Apart from people not shouting at me.

I'll shout at him for it! Except that will be hypocritical of me. So I shall find somebody else to do it, and live vicariously through them.

Here's another great : Frasier. Under-rated by a lot of people but when you start getting into it, there's many a comedic gem to be had.
After a turn of rather unfortunate events, Dr. Frasier Crane finally loses his rag:
'Have we so offended the Millenial Gods that they would bring us to the attentions of corrupt police officials, burn down our resteraunt, and then send down duplicate Winnebagos to CONFOUND US?!!'

I think I watched an episode of Frasier once and it was quite funny. Unfortunately, I don't watch much TV, even online, anymore and therefore any quotes are lost on me.
The greatest: Battlestar Galactica, the 1970s series with Dirk Benedict and Richard Hatch... It's only funny 'cause it's crap, but it's a classic, and the special effects are awesomely bad. Plus... childhood memories and first crushes. Lucifer: "Anything is possible, but the odds are astronomically against it."

Becker was rubbish. It was just another show with Ted Danson in it being all cynical with a face like frankenstein. And yes I indirectly called Joe rubbish, somehow I will just have to live with that.
Frasier is good though.
More recent: Green Wing was awesome, it doesn't get enough love. It was probably one of the few shows I actually made of point of watching every week since though my tv is usually on I don't really watch anything. It's insane and hysterically funny and Guy was such a fantastic bastard.
Quote since everyone else is doing it Mac: Join us next week on Let's Make No Fucking Sense when I'll be waxing an owl.

Tamsin Grieg is just fantastic. And on the subject of her... Black Books *big grin* Bernard Black: Who cleaned my room? Ah! Who changed me? *walks in with brushed hair and an ironed white suit*
P.S. I love that now I've mentioned Battlestar in this thread, some of the ads at the top of the page are for it!!!

Dylan Moran is a god. There's an extra on one of the dvds where he writes a reply to a rejection letter. If you haven't seen it I'm sure it's on youtube if you look it up.
I do hope you won't be disheartened by your sudden violent death Yours faithfully Bernard Black

He's so awesome. Do you remember the really hot day? I can't remember what series, but he asks Manny for his ice lolly, n Manny produces a bottle of frozen wine, and they smash the bottle in the wall. I don't drink wine, but one day I want to do that, just to see!

I've always wanted to try it but you'd need one hell of a stick to support a bottle of wine. It's the offhand smashing that makes that scene.

I know. The whole thing is just amazing though. I saw Bill Bailey live last year, and it wasn't up to Part Troll standards, but it was still awesome. Now I REALLY want to see Dylan Moran, and Schmoozy says he's performing in Ediburgh? How awesome Apparently he lives there, so she's recruiting me to go stalk him too.

I saw him too, was pretty good but he repeated some stuff and it was on the same night the shins were playing so it was like a hilarious disappointment.
And Dylan Moran is on tour later this year. I bought my ticket for his glasgow show yesterday. I'm poor now but pleasantly aroused at the sight of a piece of paper with his name on it.

WOW! I want! I may have to speak to Suzy, lol. She's gonna scream. Wow.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I love the song Bill did as the encore, but it would have been so much better if he'd come up with something new and hilarious. Plus, I was on the really really steep bit, and that scared me. I thought I was going to fall everytime I looked down at the stage.

It's political correctness gone mad. Now you can't even kill people with second-hand smoke anymore. The injustice is mind-boggling.

I love the terribleness of the stop smoking ads. Like there's the one that lists different things in the smoke. One of them was like I dunno toilet bleach or something which seeing as I saw it on my way to work where I clean toilets (I am so very glamorous I know) caused me to propose a strike for cleaners everywhere.
Cleanliness gives you cancer.
Another favourite are the ones that say I stopped smoking and started living and the woman pictured is the most disgusting looking human I've seen in a long while. It's enough to make me start.
Also Becker is still an arse.
