You hurry over to the old woman, dodging round slowly moving people. A couple of men in suits are looking a little unbalanced, their arms thrown out to stop themselves from falling as they plod towards a waiting train. They look like they’re trying to walk on an invisible tight-rope. You notice a couple of old men sitting on the cold steel seats; they appear to be asleep. You glance towards the girl with red hair. She is struggling against the police officers’ grip, yelling at them. You feel sorry for her but you know that you would be treated as an accomplice if you try to explain. Not that they would believe you, anyway. You draw level with the old woman who is clutching the money in her hand. It has obviously been returned to her. The police have all the evidence they need to convict the girl, especially with her blabbering. When you look at the old woman, you realise that she is not nearing the age of your grandmother as you first thought. In fact, when you look closer, you can see the amazing make-up work. “Excuse me…” you say, hesitantly, knowing that the agent did not need something else to go wrong. She puts on a stereotypical old granny voice when she answers you. “Yes, dear?” You are now listening carefully and can hear the suspicion in her voice. “I was over by the photo booth…” you begin but you are immediately interrupted. “You are Agent W?” she says excitedly, now sounding like a young woman. “Quick! Inhale the antivirus!” She thrusts the money towards you. You are not sure whether you should sniff it or not: after all, it was meant for this other agent. But then you remember the coming zombification and you decide you better had do. You glance round to make sure no-one is watching before taking a big sniff. You open your eyes, feeling invigorated, ready for anything. You catch sight of Agent L. Maybe not anything. You hand her the money. “No. You have to get it to our boffins.” She glances towards Agent S. “If only you had time to release her from police custody – you could use all the help you can get.” Despite the fact that you have been trying to interrupt her stream of thought, you immediately get defensive. “Who says I don’t have time to save her?” Agent L grins. “That’s the spirit! I’ll help you!” She begins to drag you towards the girl and her police escort: they’re nearly at the door. Can you really save her? What are you thinking? You can’t really take over this agent’s job – you don’t know what you’re doing!
Page 11: You can’t really let them think you’re some super agent with hundreds of gadgets – and your friend’s still waiting for you. You decide to stop this before it goes too far and tell the woman what the deal is… Page 12: Reluctant though you are, you can’t let the girl get arrested for trying to save those coppers’ skins. You decide to help the agent to save her before you tell them/decide on what you’ll do next… Page 13: You don’t want anything more to do with this! You drag yourself out of the woman’s grip and make a run for it – after all, you won’t turn into a zombie now…
