Here we have it, the Tour de Force of Rebecca's temptation.
Quotes etc. yadda yadda yadda. Not just limited to Discworld, anything Pratchett is good. Personally I'm a big fan of Good Omens.
I'm afraid I can't start you off with a quote just yet, I've too many to choose from. As soon as I've whittled my list down to only a couple hundred, I'll let you know.

"I remember when all this used to be fields!" said the elderly mayfly. The younger mayflies looked around. "It's still all fields," one said. "Ah, but they were greener in my day," replied the elder. "And there was a cow standing over there, as I recall."
"Woe is me, for I am undone!" "Could be drafty," said Nobby tentatively.
"HAVE YOU SEEN MY COW?"
Glad I'm not one of them poor sods, thought Sergeant Colon, going back to sleep. I'm a man with special qualities.

"It was a moonless night which was good for the purposes of Solid Jackson.
He fished for Curious Squid, so called because, as well as being squid, they were curious. That is to say, their curiosity was the curious thing about them.
Shortly after they got curious about the lantern that Solid had hung over the stern of his boat, they started to become curious about the way in which varous of their number suddenly vanished skyward with a splash.
Some of them even became curious - very briefly curious - about the sharp barbed thing that was coming very quickly towards them.
The Curious Squid were extremely curious. Unfortunately, they weren't very good at making connections."
Best opening to a book ever.

'I would like permission to fetch a note from my mother, sir.' Ridcully sighed. 'Rincewind, you once informed me, to my everlasting puzzelment, that you never knew your mother because she ran away before you were born. Distinctly remember writing it down in my diary. Would you like another try?' 'Permission to go and find my mother?'

The Solid Jackson opener is great. But that Rincewind quote; I'd forgotten all about that. Awesome line.
