A quick look at the calendar tells me that nope, it's still December. Discussion over.
On the trailer though, bloody hell, they actually managed to make a villain as silly as Whiplash look awesome. I am impressed beyond all reasonable measure. I remember the old Iron Man cartoons and Blacklash (who I'm fairly certain Whiplash is supposed to be, just with a slight name change) was someone I'd never have imagined them using outside of comics or cartoons. Given how horrifically some comics villains have transitioned to the big screen in the past (most notably The Absorbing Man and all three of the idiots in Batman & Robin), I'm still a little edgy, but this looks like a helluva good omen.
Of course, the trailer needed more Scarlett Johannson in it. Only to see how she's adapting to her role and not for any other reasons. Yes.

Jon Faverau knows exactly how to play me. I'm sold for three reasons.
1) Iron Man has to be the best comic adaptation in a good long while. 2) War Machine looks amazing. 3) Shoot To Thrill is without a doubt my all time favourite, No. 1, best of the best, listened to more than any other AC/DC song.

Unlimited Card = Unlimited Cinema trips = Happy! If you don't take me to see this movie on at least one Wednesday for free, I am disowning you. SO YEAH, cannot wait for this movie. Although to be honest, I'm still more excited about the Avengers movie a year later, because, as you know, I am a giant nerd and really I just want to see what they do with a movie version of Hawkeye. (WAIT. Google informs me he may actually be in Iron Man 2! I AM EVEN MORE EXCITED NOW.)

Who might be in it?
And the trailer looks pretty good I suppose, but I'm not too fussed. I still want to see it, though cause I've seen the first one. I may as well go see it.
However, it may be a case of watching on DVD - that's the way I watched the first one.

UH YEAH. Black Widow omg -- I would say she is my favourite female Marvel character, but I've actually read pretty much nothing she's in, except for recent Iron Man comics. And she gets kinda fridged in Ultimate 'verse. Still, she's cool. OH, I just remembered she was in recent Thunderbolts, too, and was the most awesome part of that storyline. Look guys, it's Friday night, do you expect me to be out or something rather than talking about comics on the internet?

Of course not! You couldn't do that! That'd be so uncool.
I need to read more comics... Can I borrow some?

99% of my comics collection is digital. So I could burn some to disc for you, but you'd have to read them on your computer.

You'll be glad to know I've already organised a folder for you which I'll burn as soon as I find a blank DVD. It's basically all my favourite Marvel comics. (The ones you don't need to be a total nerd to understand, I mean.)
Also, Watchmen. Everyone needs to read Watchmen.
