You know, you kept on mentioning Jeff Bridges and I had to look him up to find out which character he was in this...
I need to pay more attention... This may be why I can remember very little of my Chemistry...

He was the one who died.

Stewart and I discussed this at length last night. Did they actually recover his body?

I was going to say, "This isn't a soap opera!" But no, it's comics, which is even worse. He won't show up again yet, though -- his clone will appear in a few movies' time, or perhaps his soul has been transferred into a robot body, or maybe into Tony's armour itself. We haven't met the Scarlet With in movie form, yet -- she'll bring him back to life if Tony pisses her off, I'm sure.

Or he'll bring himself back to life, being Jeff Bridges.

And congrats, Pete, on your ascension into the 'The Master' ranks.

Party time starts at whatever time we're meeting for Iron Man 2 tonight.

FIVE HOURS TO GOOOOO.
I cannot wait. I'm almost vibrating with nerdy excitement. This is definitely a trip on which I should not be allowed to purchase a drink. (Wait, I'll have my brother to carry things for me this time! A'ight, we're cool.)

Ok, perhaps I should have been less subtle. Stewart, can I get a brick too?
When and where are we to meet, exactly?

It's not my fault you can't read Facebook event descriptions.
BUT FIIINE: the film starts at 7.30, I will be there from about 7pm ish, somewhere inside the main entrance.

I can read facebook, it just looked as if facebook had it wrong. It gives the movie start time, not the meeting time. See you at 7ish to secure a good place in the queue.

Well? How was it?

I heard tell that it was enjoyable, but not enough of the good stuff in it. As sequels go, there have been better sequels. As films go, it's fine. Compared to Iron Man, was lacking.
Not that I've seen it or anything.

The main problem is that when people heard they were making an Iron Man movie, the general reaction was "Who?" Then something very cool, very metal and very Jeff Bridges came along and blew their minds. As a result, the expectations for Iron Man 2 were massive and somewhat impossible to fulfill.
I wasn't expecting an epic movie to rival Casablanca, Ben Hur or The Blues Brothers, I was merely expecting an entertaining superhero movie that's a cut above the rest, with one or two hints to the grander scheme that is The Avengers movie. In that respect, it delivered and then some. Some of the action scenes whizzed passed a bit, but that might have been the IMAX experience forcing me to actually move my head to follow the action. Oh, and Jon Favreau put himself in the movie a bit too much.
