Why has no-one started a thread about this? Why is no-one organising a trip to the cinema? It's disgraceful!

I went to see it with my brother yesterday, but it was a bit underwhelming. Roll on, May, and Iron Man 2.
(Not Iron Man 3, fingers! That's years away.)

Well it has been decided that the Sherlock Holmes trip will be on Wednesday. After 7.
There, organised.

Sorry, I kinda reorganised it. And then missed it. And then shrugged and spent 3 hours on stuffy uncomfortable buses.
Yay.

Wait, wait, today Wednesday? So if I go to the cinema in about twenty minutes I'll find some hapless writers hanging around?
Hmm. Hmmmmm. Can I be bothered leaving my flat...?

Yes you can! Yes you should! (In my opinion, anyway) I went to the one Tom organised. I feel quite bad... in a way. If we had got there but a few minutes earlier, we may very well have got tickets for a more suitable time. <shrugs> I loved the film, but, then, I love Sherlock Holmes. (Even though I have never read any of his books and only seen Young Sherlock Holmes.) I have this very vague memory of a cartoon of Sherlock Holmes where he was cryogenically frozen (shrugs) and then re-awoken in the 22nd century. I remember it was the 22nd cause the theme tune got stuck in my head: "Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd century. I'm going to make sure I didn't just dream this... Ah, I didn't! ;D They even had a robotic Watson! How awesome is that! They also had a female Lestrade and a clone of Moriarty. He was the main bad guy. Sherlock Holmes is amazing! After I saw the film, for the benefit of your knowledge, I took a close look at the people in the carriage with me and deduced that the couple sitting across from me are engaged as she had a ring on her finger. And who says watching too much telly and films are bad for you! ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hNenoMtCyE

Are you certain she was engaged to him? The only way to ascertain the accuracy of your deduction would be to make a closer observation of their behaviour.
How dare you not read any of the novels or short stories, they're amazing. Easily my favourite detective stories. They're not exactly hard to find.

I am determined to read them all now.
But, the fact that they kissed and she was holding a bag which contained some sort of fancy-ish shirt which was obviously his, sealed it for me.
