On Stranger Tides.
How did I miss the announcement of this? Regardless of whatever rumours are floating about the interweb, the only solid fact looks like this movie will be ditching Will and Elizabeth and focusing on Captain Jack Sparrow.
Sounds like they have a winner to me, what about everyone else?

My gut reaction is YES.
Then I think, actually, they kinda ruined Cap'n Jack a little in the third movie. So if it's a sequel, I'm not so sure. But I can totally get behind a prequel.

They didn't ruin him that much.

3D, when properly used, can actually be quite impressive. Especially when utilising it to express the sheer enormity of the world. All those expansive shots of jungles and the sea? They'd look amazing with extra depth, you'd truly appreciate the vastness of the environment. If they re-shot the LOTR trilogy in proper 3D, I'd watch that, just because the Hobbit's journey would seem more epic when those mountains actually look like they're miles away.
As long as that is the goal with this movie, I'll forgive them. I'll still probably see it in 2D though.
