If anyone's going to try it this year (I decided to give it another shot after failing so epically two years ago) I figured we need a topic about it. If nothing else, I'm going on this bit of advice: "3) Tell everyone you know that you're writing a novel in November. This will pay big dividends in Week Two, when the only thing keeping you from quitting is the fear of looking pathetic in front of all the people who've had to hear about your novel for the past month. Seriously. Email them now about your awesome new book. The looming specter of personal humiliation is a very reliable muse. " So there you go. Entirely selfish Hello, major uni work avoidance!

I'm not going to bother with this - I don't have time in November...

I'm choosing to write a screenplay. There's very little difference, bar the fact that if I submit mine to the BBC, I could win money.

All this red text will haunt my nightmares. Thanks, guys.
At about 11.30, I thought, "Well, I might as well give Nano a shot again." Then I decided to watch Star Trek instead. If I can find last year's attempt, I'll bring that on Tuesday, but I suspect it's on my dead laptop.

You must have some really bizarre nightmares.
No way I'm even gonna attempt it this year. Maybe next year, when I['m outta Uni. I did try it a few years back and achieved a whole 5000 words. Yeah, I'm that good.

Nice one!
But write more. More!
My attempts at encouragement are clearly a failure...
