Or... Laser tag! Bowling! Ice-skating!

That's a better point. Where is it written that we have to go out for a meal?

Because it means I don't have to cook for myself.

Or... We go for a meal for Christmas (cause Christmas is kind of special) and we go to the laser quest for our end of the year night out.
There's one in Motherwell. My dad and sister have been a few times, I can ask them the price (tomorrow at a reasonable time...)

They're also in Clydebank and Xscape. I think it's £5 a game

The expensive option is only on certain dates. i.e. Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Wouldn't we be going on a Tuesday when it would be considerably cheaper? It's £30 on those days, but still £27 normally. Man, I dunno about you but if I'm paying £27 for a single meal, it better come with more than just one shot of vodka. And while I am highly in favour of laser tag (the sport of bros), shouldn't we at least stick to doing something in the city centre? Places like Clydebank and Xscape are a bit annoying to get to, but we all know/can afford the city centre, since we have to go there several times a week already.

Agreed Totally agreed I'm on a limited budget, but I'd still like to attend whatever is decided. I'd be up for a meal in with everyone chipping in a dish, but no one has a flat big enough to support that. There must be places that can do a christmas meal for less than £15 right?

Well there's Chukoku, near Campus. I think it's about £10 for an all-you-can-eat buffet

And, of course, China Buffet King... (I shall probably be lynched for this... ) P.S. I made the poll with only the named suggestions in this thread. Cause I thought it would be a good idea to choose where we're going before the end of November... And I never put in lasertag, etc. cause it's difficult to get there, people want to stay in the City Centre, etc. (Even if Wudon ain't in the City Centre... )

To be honest, it's Christmas time. Most places are going to be heavily booked for things like paintball and laser tag which have set amounts of time, whereas places to eat will be a bit more lenient about how long you can stay provided you eat/drink something. Also, it's winter; like hell we're doing paintball! I see my brilliant plan of "let's put down all the named restaurants in this thread didn't work too well... It might be a case of voting at a meeting... Or someone else creating a different poll...

And also, going out for a meal works. Everyone eats. Not everyone wants to do something like paintball (I'd rather glue my eyelids together, for example) or laser tag. A meal is a fail-safe, plus it's better for actually talking to each other, since I for one don't know... well, any of the new people yet.
And then there's that no cooking thing...

I've got it! We go to Laser-Quest and eat what we kill. Raw.
