Good day folks,
Towards the end of May we'll have our last night out this semester as a Writers' Society. But where though?
Any ideas are welcome, or any dates that any of you aren't free should be made known.
Besides that, all the best with exams!

How about going bowling?
Or laser tag?
Or even M&Ds?

That stuff costs money. I say we have a game of rounders in glasgow green or something...

Over my dead body. Rounders is a game that was invented purely to torture me.

Frisbee and a BBQ?

It doesn't cost that much. £5 for one game + a drink if you're a student in Xscape. And there's places for food which aren't that expensive.
Frisbee and BBQ sounds like fun but it would depend on the weather, surely?
Although, we could do that and have a back-up plan for if it's raining?
...
Ooh! An "outing" - come to Lanark!

I like the idea of doing something in a park. A PICNIC. I'm sure the weather will be fine, global warming's been good for Scotland this year so far.
I'll dig through the shed next time I'm home, I'm sure we have one of those tetherball things gathering dust somewhere.

A picnic works but... This is Scotland and it's currently a dreary day - most likely, if we plan a picnic/BBQ, it'll end up raining. In accordance with sod's law, of course... In order to foil it, we should plan for something else and then, when the weather is amazing again, we rush around organising a "spontaneous" picnic...

This is Scotland and we will sit in the drizzle with a damp barbecue and umbrellas if we have arranged a barbecue for that day. Nothing brings us down!

I suppose - but where are we gonna have a BBQ? It needs to be somewhere large enough to play frisbee and be legal to have a BBQ, too...

Hence why I vote picnic instead. A barbecue would just be too complicated unless we had it at someone's house, and then you've got to factor in the extra travel that would probably be involved.

Someone should bring a red-and-white checked blanket and a huge wicker basket with a handle stuffed full with food! ;D
I don't have either so someone else will have to provide that stuff...
