As some of you may know, I spent Halloween at a wedding. It was lovely and I had a great time. Basically played mummy to my friend's baby for the whole night (he's 4 weeks old, how cute) and danced a lot. What this means is that I did not actually get dressed up and go out for Halloween. As such, my flatmates and myself are having a belated Halloween party this Thursday. The theme was going to be Heroes and Villains, but now it's Heroes and Villains (Sort Of). I can't remember exactly how this came about, but I think it has something to do with the moral ambiguity of characters such as Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd. Really, we don't care as long as you have a costume. if you come as something generic like a witch, you can always just say you're that witch from the film and I wouldn't know the dif. Anyway! Keep a hold of your costumes and let me know if you are gonna come along

I'd go I if I but knew where the hell you lived. Text said address to me if you're okay with my turning up. (Heh, heh...now if she doesn't text me, she'll be wracked with guilt. Probably. Maybe.)

Rob: That's fine. Stewart: I'll tell you tomorrow. Almost wrote down where I lived there, before realising what I terrible idea it was to put my address on the internet. Silly Jenna.

Yes... I remember being told where this event was, and I also remember forgetting soon after that. Are people metting up anywhere before heading to this shindig? If so, let me know so I can tag along like a tagging along guy... I actually also recall something about heroes and villians fancy dress, and I remember cursing halloween as I have no fancy dress costumes... Time to improvise.... Can anyone give me any ideas using things that your would typically find around a reasonably messy student flat?

A warrior? Pan on your head, tray strapped to your front and a whisk in the hand. Inspired by the Lakeland thing at the entrance to Bucanon Galleries). Graham was (he's not coming anymore) going to go as John Maclean from Die Hard... trousers, vest, some dirt, maybe a gun... there you go. You can also steal someone elses gun while you're here, lol. The theme is loose btw, so don't worry about it, as long as you have something. Don't really mind when people turn up, although sarah doesn't get back from work til like, 10, and I don't want everyone to be too drunk before she gets here 'cause that's just not nice. So no earlier than 8 please Group together, someone is bound to have my number or know the way.

Miss Lovett baked dead people into pies then fed said pies to members of high society.
If that isn't a villain I don't know what is.

Yes it's Villian, it was also an ingenius and profitable enterprise in such tough economic times... But it's one of those classics that wouldn't quite fit a modern day remake :/

She did it out of love!
She has her moments of doubt too, to make her all relatable and not cold-hearted and whatnot.
Course the penny dreadful on which it is all based had her as an old hag that cooked people into pies and nobody sang or was in any way attractive and so absolutely evil but hey.
