I run after him, shouting: "Charlie, we're not in danger! It's- I'm sorry, but it's Deiter. He's tried to kill himself. That's why we need to get up to the medical bay!"
If this doesn't deter him, I tackle him to the ground and apply that age old method of bringing someone to their senses. A well placed slap in the face.

Yosh! (I've been watching too much anime lately...)
I'll drag the wheelie bin over and use that to climb onto the ladder. I'll also take the rolled up carpet with me and use that to push the bin away again afterwards so, if anyone realises which way I went, they won't realise I went up the ladders straight away, buying me some time.
If the rolling it away thing doesn't work, I'll just leave it and go up the ladder.
Should I roll or does that all just happen?

~~Pete~~
Yeah, you're gonna have to tackle the guy.
[Get Yourself Together, Man] Pete: 18 SM: 5 (+1) Target: 3 [Success]
You bring that fella down and apply a generous amount of force to his face, bringing him to his senses. Unfortunately, this also makes him realise that he has no idea who you are and at that moment a soft but eerie klaxon begins to sound throughout the complex. The medical bay is off through a door to the right. What do you do?
~~Fire Bear~~
Sure, why not? You get up onto the fire escape and then push the wheelie-bin away, leaving no trace of how you might have gotten out of the alleyway. You race up the steps but just as you reach the door, the police officer who hit you before wanders into the alley, sees you, and bellows:
"YOU! STOP IN THE NAME OF THE LAW!"
You go through the fire-door and shut it closed. You are now on a landing in which several numbered doors for apartments can be seen, with stairs leading down on the right. At the far end of the corridor, away from the stairs, is an elderly caretaker sweeping the floor. The SIC meows at the man. What do you do?

The caretaker hasn't seen me enter, I take it?
I walk over to him and say to him, "Excuse me, could you help me? My door's stuck and won't open." I then gesture to an apartment door behind me, wait for him to pass, then turn round and whack him over the back of the head with the hilt of my sword to knock him out with the intention of taking his clothes and brush and making like a caretaker before the police officer gets here. (I'm presuming the police officer will have got back-up by now and he will be climbing up the fire escape and there will people out front.) (Also, to hide the elven ears, I'll let my hair down over them.)

Okay, then.
[Knock-Out Disguise] Fire Bear: 14 SM: 5 (+2) Target: 10 [Success]
You knock out the elderly caretaker who regularly helps out at the local orphanage and who has a history of haemophilia and drag him off out of sight. You steal his clothes and take up his broom, telling Blanka and the SIC to stay of sight. They head off somewhere, apparently arguing in growls and meows.
You are sweeping the floor with your head bowed when the police officer comes sprinting up the stairs, without back-up but surely has radioed in for some by now. He prowls around the landing, checks the fire escape, then comes back into the corridor and stops to ask you if you've seen a female elf running around. He then recognises your face, leaps back, and yells "FREEZE!" What do you do?

Do exactly that with my hands holding tightly onto the brush. When he gets within brush striking distance when he comes to handcuff me, I whack him with it. Hard. In a rather sensitive area.

[Nutcracker] Fire Bear: 19 SM: 5 Target: 2 [Success]
There is a deafening boom as you apply the business end of the broom to the officer's face. He is lifted from his feet and crashes to the floor, stunned but not unconscious. You now have an opportunity to escape the building down the stairs. What do you do?

I hurry downstairs. When I get near the front door, I slow down and leave the building, pretending to sweep so as to get past any officers who wouldn't know what I looked like.
Are there any out there by now or are they still on their way? Just so's I know whether I need to roll for a successful sneaking trip or not...

Having received an urgent radio call from Starlong requesting a distraction, I turn to Charlie.
"That klaxon, what does it mean? Why aren't people evacuating? That's the wrong klaxon dammit, we need this place cleared!"

There're no police officers outside. You are pretty much home & dry, at least for now. Where do you go next? It'll be an hour or so before the police will be actively looking for someone matching your description.
~~Pete~~
Charlie is no longer under the influence of shock-tactic BS. He struggles to get up, shouting at the other technicians to get security in here. You have literally moments before they come through the door and try to arrest you, and will shoot if you start to run. You can take cover in the main computer booth, head for the medical bay or main hangar (doors can be seen leading to both, the latter leads out onto an elevated catwalk), stay where you are, or whatever else you can think of.

I head to the shop which gave us the box in the first place - he's gonna pay us either an awful lot of money or else he will be in pain...

Given the possibility of encountering a duel with a man claiming to be my father on the walkway, I think I'll head to the medical bay. If there's a chance I'm going to get shot, that's the place to be.

~~Pete~~
The logic, as ever, is flawless. You make a break for the medical bay, pushing Charlie and a few other researchers out of the way as the security team come in through the door and draw their guns. They yell at you to freeze and open fire. A bullet strikes a computer and the machine explodes in a shower of glass and sparks. You reach the medical bay door, hit the button, and dash inside as the door slides open. You close it behind you.
In front of you is a tidy medical bay, with a few beds and facilities for treating industrial injuries. There is a doctor sitting at his desk in here who has his back to you and has not responded to you coming in or the gunfire just outside. On closer inspection you find that he has a tape-deck and headphones. On one of the beds is a sheet covering what you presume to be a body from head to foot. There is another bed with a sheet covering it which is currently vacant. You can see an express elevator that presumably goes down to the hangar floor but it'll take a few moments to reach you here, by which time the security men will be through that door guns blazing. What do you do?
~~Fire Bear~~
You head back to the shop that gave you the bomb but find it to be closed. The door can be picked as it uses a simple lock (SM: 2), the plate glass could be broken and then you could step inside (need something to break it with), or you could look around and head down into an alleyway to find another way. The only option there, however, is a drain-pipe which will be precarious climb (SM: 4). What do you do?

Well, considering what he did to us, I break the plate glass. With my sword (seeing as I should still have that).

As much as I would love to dive under the covers and pretend to be a patient, I have no doubt that the security team would pull back the covers and see me smiling sheepishly. As such, I'll pull the doctor to his feet, take him hostage at gun point and back up towards the elevator.
