I'm gonna push for filling station, unless any objections arise. It would suck to have to skip the actual meal and then order a pizza at a bar and have half of it stolen by a third of the people there just because despite the fact they just had a meal, a pizza being placed within their near vicinity would make them inexplicably hungry again.
Yes, I am describing myself here, but are you really so different???

I thought we were doing this next weekend... And I'd rather that were the case cause I really don't feel like going anywhere for the next few days - that one exam I had exhausted me. And by "next weekend" I meant the 4th (in case that's what you meant) - I thought we'd settled on that... Also, what the heck is the Filling Station?

Sure, Filling Station sounds fine to me. Not sure about Muse on a Saturday though -- pretty damn expensive. Then again, so's everywhere, but at least the Flying Duck is closer and has £2 Strongbow and also Scrabble, hint hint. (And they let you take outside food in, so latecomers or folk who don't want Filling Station could totally grab a Subway or McDonald's or something.)

No, not the Filling Station! HOLD THE GODDAMN PHONES. As I remember it, that place was crazy expensive and the food was pretty bad. In fact, it was dire. Just to check it was the same place and that my memory hadn't warped things, I pulled up some reviews about that place www.list.co.uk/place/100647-filling-station/ and they seem to say the same thing. Read 'em, it cost £36 for three sandwiches and three soft drinks and they weren't exactly blown away by that food. Speaks for itself. If you want an American diner then there's an often overlooked TGI Friday on Buchanan Street that had a good-looking menu but the service is bad; was more or less thrown out of there for being 1 minute early to opening time (but they'd left the doors lying open) not a good sign, and it seems that they're bad for bookings. Ichiban is good but not everyone goes in for that style of food. A combination of that and Muse would work, prying hands and all. For Indian cuisine, Kama Sutra on Sauchiehall Street is also expensive but it's staggeringly good. I vote for Ichiban/Muse combo. Kama Sutra if you want to make it a classy night, but then Muse'll have an affordable bar of good quality so...

Oh dear. Eh, screw it -- how about we make Muse the whole night? They do decent food, and they're cool people who doesn't afraid of anything.

Ahh, we shoulda just gone to Milliways...
Flying duck would be good, as long as we could go to a place with food everyone likes first.
It was overlooked the first time I mentioned it, but what about pizza hut? Apart from the fact that you'll drown in grease, it's pretty tasty and they have, like, meal deals 'n shit...

As much as I'd hate to settle on somewhere that's a tad generic, we can do better than Pizza Hut. And I too have not heard many good tales about the Filling Station.
Tell you what, we'll put it to a vote. Everyone email me or text me (I'll be texting around my new number today, hopefully) a FEW places you guys like that's also within the collective affordance range. The most popularly suggested place that isn't the Union will be the place we'll go.

To be honest, I don't really care that much (we went to Ichiban for lunch on Thursday so I'm cool with not going there). So I'm not going to vote.
But it might be a good idea to e-mail round the people who don't regularly appear on the forum for their preferences seeing as they probably won't see this until the decision's been made...

My Votes
Stewart: Muse Dark Stewart: Filling Station Morally-Grey Stewart: Don't care Stewart the Imposter: That place we all go to on a habitual basis for socialisation which I need not speak the name of because I have known you particular humans for many of your Earth years now and am not an imposter sent by his eminence the Emperor KRONG to annihilate you. Anti-Stewart: Anywhere Dave isn't (Secretly: Anywhere Dave is).

There's also Wagamama's, it's a japanese place, it's really nice and they do a few non-japanese dishes. They do duck as well, and it is fantastic. They've got vegetarian dishes too.

I'd also vote against the Filling Station, heard the same bad things about it the rest seem to have. I say Pizza Hut; quick and cheap, leaving us more time and money for alcohol afterwards. Oh, and they're used to having a bunch of rowdy infants kicking around the place, so we'd fit right in.

Okay, Wagamama, then Muse, then if someone is able to offer their flat. Saturday the 11th of June. That'll give you all plenty of time to cancel your previous plans, I mean, make sure nothing else gets in the way. Sound good? Yes? Good.
I'll be phoning for reservations tomorrow, then I'll send out the email tomorrow.

Wait, what? I thought this was all being planned for Saturday 4th June.
I don't know why exactly I'm complaining since I'm double booked but -
Actually, that was a very good point, shutting up now.
P.s. My flat could be a candidate for any strictly necessary wild shenanigans; I was thinking about maybe planning to perhaps organise some kind of day type thing with movies and games and stuff anyway maybe for certain but possibly not I don't know.
